Creamy and lemon sharp, these tarts have a hint of thyme and almond, perfect for an early spring dessert. Particularly if you still have too many lemons! Fig Cheese Cake Bars

We spent the last several weeks in Italy, hence the lack of posts (I didn’t get enough ready before we left). But I have come back with many ideas for flavor combinations: turmeric, shrimp, and caramelized onions, a nut meringue custard cake, and an extra long layover in Stockholm meant we tried a moose burger with lingon berry ketchup. The zucchini I planted just over 2 months ago is now taking over the garden. It is producing so much I can’t use it all and pawning it off on other people barely makes a dent.
